LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Vincennes University went on lockdown overnight in southwestern Indiana.  An alert was issued for a possible gunman impersonating an officer at an off-campus student apartment.

Police spotted the man, but he ran into an apartment building, climbed out of a window, and ran toward campus, where about 2000 students live.

Three hours later, the lockdown was lifted after police checked campus buildings.  No shots were ever fired, and no injuries were reported.
