LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shively Police say a man who became intoxicated after attending a Halloween party fell asleep at the wheel.
According to an arrest report, it happened Thursday just after 5 a.m. at the McDonalds on Dixie Hwy., near Rockford Lane.
Police say they got a report that a person was "down" inside a car in the parking lot of McDonalds. When they arrived, they allegedly found 37-year-old Antwan D. Smith asleep in a 1999 Chrysler, with the car in drive and his foot on the brake.
Police say Smith's foot came off the brake and his car slowly began rolling through the parking lot "while not being controlled." Officers had to wake Smith up and pull him out of the car "with difficulty," according to the arrest report, because he was "lethargic and uncoordinated."
He smelled heavily of alcohol, police say, and he allegedly told officers he had been drinking at a Halloween party.
Smith was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
