Recent North Bullitt graduates die in early morning crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Grief counselors respond to a Bullitt County high school Friday morning after two teens died in an early morning crash.

The Woodford County coroner tells WDRB News 18-year Destinee Barr and 19-year-old Marissa Elmore died after their vehicle struck a pickup truck on highway 341 in Midway around midnight.

The recent North Bullitt High School graduates were on the way to visit a friend at the University of Kentucky.

The coroner says the crash was likely caused by stormy weather.  A third passenger, Miranda Smith, was taken to UK hospital in Lexington.
