LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)---A Louisville man is a World Champion, and it's all based on his mustache!
Patrick Fette took part in the World Beard and Mustache Championship this weekend in Germany.
His was participating in the English Style Mustache Category, which had about 12 people competing.
Fette says, it took him a year to grow his mustache so long.
It's 12 inches and took him about a year to grow.
He was up against two former world champions, and is thankful he's now bringing that title home to Louisville.
"We have such a great facial hair culture in Louisville. There's a lot of beards, mustaches, a lot of people that are into this and I'm just really excited to bring the recognition back to Louisville, Kentucky on the world stage," Patrick Fette told WDRB by phone.
Fette also received a perfect score for his mustache!
As for the contest, it attracts more than 300 competitors from 20 countries across the world.
