LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a man for drug trafficking after they found baggies of heroin in his Westport Road apartment.

According to an arrest report, it happened just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at an apartment on Westport Road, near the intersection with N. Hurstbourne Pkwy.

Police say officers knocked on the door of the apartment occupied by 32-year-old James Blakey, and he answered, giving them permission to search his residence.

Police say they found several baggies of heroin, pills, marijuana, marijuana pipes, digital scales and a prescription bottle with several assorted pills.

Blakey also allegedly had $679 in his pocket.

He was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the arrest report.
