Family works to make sure man allegedly shot by his wife is not forgotten

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The family of a man allegedly shot by his wife, a JCPS teacher, says they're trying to make sure Daniel Reardon is not forgotten.

Wearing t-shirts that read "Justice for Daniel," family members say they will be at every pre-trial hearing at the Meade County Courthouse for Anne Reardon's case.  The teacher is accused of killing her husband Daniel Reardon on July 4, shooting him in the head while he was sleeping.

Anne Reardon was not in court because family members say she's currently in a psychiatric ward.  Kim Reardon, Daniel's sister-in-law said, "I'm not surprised about the things she's trying to come up to get out of the murder charge at all."

Daniel's daughter Amber Reardon explains her locket: "It says, 'Dad, my hero forever,' and says his first and last name on the back.  This is a ring he gave after him and my mother got divorced."

His daughter says she always wears a locket with her dad's ashes in it.

JCPS says Anne Reardon was a resource teacher at Western High School. She worked for the district for seven years.
