South Bend church criticized for sign

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A church in South Bend, Indiana is under fire after it posted a sign on its property that appears to reference the gay lifestyle.

On Thursday, a sign outside Christ Temple Apostolic Church read: "God said Adam and Eve....Not Adam and Steve."

A few hours later, the wording on the sign was changed to "God Loves U."

Some people are offended by the earlier sign, saying it takes a negative stance on homosexuality.

The church pastor didn't comment, but another person at the church says the sign was changed because they "didn't want to be controversial."
