Annual Veterans Day Parade in Louisville includes military, music & more

You can help honor our Veterans on Monday, November 11th by heading to downtown Louisville.

UAW 862/Ford Motor Company Veterans Day Parade will travel from 4th and Chestnut streets, north on 4th to Main, and west on Main Street to 6th.

The parade Review Stand will be on the front steps of the Kentucky Center at 5th and Main streets.

The parade will start at 11am at 4th and Chestnut, with the first unit scheduled to arrive at the Review Stand at 11:11 a.m., the exact time the cease fire took effect to end WWI in 1918.

Participating in the parade will be the 113th Army Band Dragoons and Major General and Mrs. David W. Puster, Commanding General, 84th Training Command, Fort Knox.

The parade will end with a Massing of the Colors Ceremony at the Review Stand.

Units in the parade include veterans' service organizations, representatives of organizations which serve veterans, restored antique military vehicles and equipment, active duty military units and reenactment groups from all periods.

A USO Canteen style party at 4th Street Live! beginning after the Parade and continuing through the afternoon and early evening, with entertainment by The Ladies for Liberty, The Don Krekel Orchestra and other groups, plus restaurant discounts for veterans and their families and special displays of restored military vehicles and equipment

Plus more entertainment scheduled throughout the day.
