LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway is going before the state Supreme Court over the role his office plays in investigations.
The case stems from two cases in eastern Kentucky involving drug trafficking.
Court of Appeals panels have ruled the Attorney General has jurisdiction only when a request is made by local officials or the governor.
Conway argues in court filings that his office could be stripped of its power to fight different crimes if the rulings stand.
