LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Kevin Ware played 13 minutes, making one of four shots as Louisville thundered past Hartford, 87-48, at the KFC Yum! Center Tuesday night.

Nobody wanted to ask Ware about his 25 percent shooting or four points. Everybody lined up to ask Ware about his failure to show up in traffic court in Barren County, Ky., Monday to deal with a ticket he received on Oct. 26 for driving 95 mph in a 55-mph construction zone on I-65.

Ware said that he made a mistake, but that he will take care of the matter at his rescheduled court date next Monday. Ware said he did not expect any additional problems.

Here are his answers to questions about the incident:

Question: How did you know Matt Case, who said he loaned his Dodge Challenger to Ware?

Ware: "I know him from the university."

Q: How did you meet him?

Ware: "He's a friend. He's around the team. He's around all of us. He's just a friend. He's been around way before I got here. He's good friends with Gorgui (Dieng). He's good friends with me. He's good friends with Russ (Smith)."

Q: Does he loan his car out to everybody?

Ware: "You've got to ask him."

Q: How do you feel about driving 95 mph?

Ware: "It was 90 actually. I just made a mistake. That's all there really is to it. If I wasn't Kevin Ware, this information wouldn't be blown up. That's how it is. It's just a speeding ticket. I'm going to go to court Monday and handle the situation. That's going to be that."

Q: Do you pose a danger to other drivers?

Ware: "No. Just me. Not other drivers. I made a mistake. That's it."

Q: Rick Pitino said he hates distractions. He put it to you a different way, maybe?

Ware: "No, he put it to me the way my mother put it to me. He was disappointed that I would be that stupid, to do 90 in a 55, to put myself in danger and my fellow teammate (former Card Michael Baffour) in danger. That's really all it was. He was disappointed. But it was just a speeding ticket and we'll move past it."

Q: Was there ever any talk about you not playing tonight?

Ware: "Nah. I'm pretty sure Coach P isn't going to bench his players for speeding tickets."
