LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A three-year-old smells smoke and alerts the whole family to a fire in their Louisville home.

Crews were called to a fire around 2 a.m. Thursday on West Hill Street near Dixie Highway in the Algonquin Park neighborhood.

Fire officials say a mother was sleeping with her two children in her second floor apartment, when the one-year-old smelled smoke.

Firefighters found clothes on fire in a dryer. They had the flames out within four minutes.

The apartment suffered minimal damage, and no one was injured.
