2014 PGA Championship tickets still available to the public

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Championship Director for the PGA of America, Brett Sterba talks ticket sales for the upcoming event.

But there are still tickets available for the PGA Championship that runs from August 4 - 10, 2014.  The public can now buy the tickets with no signups or waiting.

Sterba says Monday through Friday tickets are still available for practice rounds. But Saturday, Sunday and Wanamaker Club tickets are sold out.  He says tickets to the PGA Championship would make for a great holiday gift.

Children can go to the PGA Championship for FREE with a paid adult. And if you have interest, the PGA is still in need of 300 volunteers for the event.

The PGA Championship, the Season's Final Major, celebrates its 96th anniversary in 2014 with a return visit to Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY. Thousands of golf fans lined the fairways during the sold-out 1996 PGA Championship to view the strongest, all-professional international field in Major Championship golf. In August 2014, all eyes will be focused on Valhalla once again as 156 of the best players in the world compete for the coveted Wanamaker Trophy.
