LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --If it's the day after Thanksgiving, there's a good chance you've either seen one of the lines in the wee hours of the morning, or you've been in one of them. Black Friday starts earlier and earlier each year.
"The girls go out and they shop, and partake in the chaos. They get up at 4am and do their thing," husband, Reggi Beasley said.
It's starting even earlier than that now. A lot of people end up out at the stores after shoveling in the turkey on Thanksgiving.
"We have dinner together, and plan with our ads, and sit down and plan out an attack," shopper, Shelley West told WDRB.
Shops in the mall, Target, and Best Buy all have their special hours, and deals. Bargains are something savvy shoppers know how to take and use. WDRB enlisted the help of some of those shoppers and employees from local stores across Kentuckiana, to tell you how to do the most damage to those lengthy Christmas shopping lists. That list is below:
1) Plan Ahead- Pick your stores, know your deals.
2) Bring a friend- "That way you can do multiple locations or multiple spots in the store to make sure you get your product," Best Buy manager, Jeremy Ringo suggested.
3) Ask questions- you never know when there still might be one of those great deals out there. West used that tip last year.
"People didn't show for their vouchers, I got my son a laptop for $220 or something like that," she said.
More than anything else, have a good time. If you didn't get your deal, put the bag down, and step away for a minute. Chances are you'll be able to score another great bargain at the next store.
