LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Lottery's new Keno game brought in $1.7 million between its Nov. 4 launch and the 21st of the month, according to information released during a meeting of the lottery's Board of Directors.  The lottery says it's been especially popular along the Kentucky-Tennessee border as Tennesseans cross the border to play a game that isn't available in their state.

Four hundred retailers across the Commonwealth are selling Keno, with half of them being traditional lottery retailers and the other half being new outlets, mostly bars and restaurants.

Drawings for Keno are held every five minutes as players try to match numbers that are randomly selected.

The lottery is also touting several financial landmarks, including having brought in $4 billion for the state, paid out $9 billion to players, and having $15 billion in overall sales.
