LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested three women for stealing almost $2,000 worth of toys from Kmart.

It happened at the Kmart store on Poplar Level Road, near the Watterson Expressway, shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Police say three women, 40-year-old Angela A. Nelson, 33-year-old Nicole L. Sutton and 37-year-old Monecia Clark -- were seen putting toys in a shopping cart, then walking out of the store without paying for them.

The total amount of stolen merchandise was $1,998, according to police.

All three of the women were arrested and charged with theft. The merchandise was returned to the store.
