LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - The family of a Louisville man gathered today in his memory, three years after his murder.

19-year-old Thomas Ashley was shot and killed on Gilligan Street near 29th street in Portland on November 30th, 2010.

Ashley had returned home for the holidays from a job corps center and was shot in the back.
His murder has gone unsolved.

"We break down and we miss him" said the victim's mother Nicole Ashley, "like thanksgiving dinner, Thomas wasn't there this year."

"I've been robbed of that," Nicole Ashley said, "I feel like I had just a short period of time to know my son; the man that he could have been, I'll never know."

The family says they are desperate for answers in Thomas Ashley's murder since it became a cold case last year.

If you have any information in this case, you are asked call 574-LMPD.
