JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) - Jeffersonville joined the holiday celebrations Saturday night with their 'Light Up The Holidays' parade. 

Louisville native Olivia Henken was the grand marshall of the parade which included 50 entries and an appearance by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. 

The event kicks off the season with music, dancing, food and fun. There were also trolley rides to the Jeffersonville ice rink, which opened on Friday. 

Residents were able to enjoy a parade of holiday lights, before the official lighting took place Saturday night.

City officials estimate around three or four thousand people attended the parade and lighting ceremony.
