Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky men remained 3rd in the latest AP men's basketball poll while the UK women's team moved into the top 5 for the first time this season after Sunday's win over Louisville.

Michigan State remains number one on the men's side getting all but two of the first-place votes. Arizona jumped up a couple of spots to second and Kentucky remained third for the second straight week.  Syracuse and Ohio State round out the top five.  Louisville is up two spots to 7th, behind Kansas.

The UK women moved up a couple of spots to 5th after rallying in the second half to beat U of L 69-64 in Lexington. DeNasha Stallworth scored 15 of her 16 points after halftime after the Cats trailed by as many as 14 in the first half.

"He just basically told me that I'm not playing how I could be playing, relax and stop being so selfish because I wasn't helping my team," Stallworth said of her halftime talk with coach Matthew Mitchell. "I took that personally and just tried to contribute more to my team, whether that's rebounding or scoring points, doing little things like that."

The Louisville women dropped to 7th after the defeat.  UConn is the unanimous number one on the women's side, followed by Duke, Tennessee, Notre Dame and UK.

Here's the men's top 25 (IU is tops among those others receiving votes).
