LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Swiss journalist is coming to Louisville to learn more about WDRB's decision to not hype news or label it as "breaking."
Swiss Public Radio reporter Eric Guevara-Frey is based in Washington, D.C., and reports on a variety of topics for Swiss Radio.
He says he was intrigued by the WDRB contract with viewers.
"I must admit that I could see, as a viewer, that in recent years, that breaking news was used more and more as a marketing ploy, and the threshold to trigger breaking news was much lower than it used to be," he said. "Somehow, I can understand why WDRB is doing what they are doing."
Guevara-Frey will broadcast his story to French-speaking listeners in Switzerland.
