LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An invasion has hit home in Kentucky.  The invader is the Emerald Ash Borer, a non-native insect that is attacking Ash trees.

WDRB Photojournalist Vince Vermeulen visited General Butler State Park to discover how the battle has begun.  Click on the video player above to see his story.

General Butler is the only state park slated to be cut and harvested at this time.

The area will be surveyed again next year to determine if such a method should continue.
