Officer Jackie Miller was found guilty of official misconduct for lying about an altercation with a 12-year-old student.

According to court documents, Miller is an LMPD officer who also provided security for Frost Middle School, a JCPS school at the corner of Watson Lane and Sandray Blvd.

On Oct 1, 2012, authorities say Miller had a physical altercation with a 12-year-old student at the school. The next day, authorities say Miller filed a juvenile citation against the student, "alleging facts which he knew to be false about the incident."

Miller later admitted "that he knew the juvenile had not committed an offense," according to court documents.

Miller was sentenced to diversion.
