MEMPHIS, Ind. (WDRB) -- Memphis is seeing a lot of snow, and it's blowing fairly hard.  WDRB's Lawrence Smith tells us that traffic on Interstate 65 is moving very slowly in both directions.

A jacknifed tractor-trailer in the northbound lane has made traffic particularly slow in that area.  Truckers tell Smith that conditions are even worse farther north.

The transition from rain to sleet to snow began around 1 p.m., leaving about 3-4 inches on the ground by 4 p.m.  The snow caused near white-out conditions in some areas.

Side roads are in particularly bad condition, and officials ask that people stay off the roads unless they absolutely need to travel.
