South Oldham Middle School briefly evacuated; students back in class

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Students and staff at South Oldham Middle School were evacuated around 9:45 a.m. Monday morning after staff members noticed a peculiar smell

All students and staff left the building as a precautionary measure, according to the school's principal Eric Gilpin.

Students and staff from the middle school waited at South Oldham High School while a fire crew checked out the scene. Students and staff were given permission to re-enter he building around 10:20 a.m.

LG&E is currently investigating the incident.
