Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Sybil Sayles is expected to spend more than a decade behind bars after pleading guilty to murder.

Sybil Sayles used a tire tool to beat 49-year-old Harrison Edwards Jr. to death in the parking lot of a Buechel apartment in Nov. 2011. Police said the pair had a violent history and it wasn't the first time police became involved.

Sayles pleaded guilty to manslaughter and agreed to a 15 year jail sentence last week.

Sayles is scheduled to be formally sentenced next month.
