UPS asking for gifts for children at Uspiritus agency

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- UPS is helping to spread holiday cheer this Christmas -- and what better way than with one of its signature shipping containers?

But they need your help.

UPS is asking the public to stuff a more-than-10-foot-long and nearly 7-foot-high container with gifts for children at Uspiritus. The agency cares for hundreds of abused, neglected and homeless children across the state.

"Our kids, you know, unfortunately have not always had great Christmas events, so this is our opportunity to really be able to make it special for them," said Mary-Kate O'Leary, president and CEO of Uspiritus.

The public is asked to join in the celebration when gifts are handed out during the Bright Lights at Brooklawn event this weekend.
