LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been accused of burglarizing a Louisville sports complex.
The incident took place at the Kentuckiana Sports Complex on Aug. 7, just after 1:30 p.m., according to an arrest report.
Police say 25-year-old Kevin P. Skaggs, Jr. cut the lock on an outbuilding of the complex and went inside. He then allegedly cut the lock on an electrical box and pulled the wiring from inside the box.
A witness saw him leave the building with the wiring in his hand, according to arrest report. A witness also allegedly saw Skaggs sitting on his porch, at his home across the street from the complex, fingering the wiring.
Police say Skaggs fled the scene when they arrived.
The amount of damage Skaggs caused exceeded $500, according to police. Previously, Skaggs had been employed to do cleanup work at the building, the arrest report states.
Skaggs was arrested late Monday night and charged with burglary.
