LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A simple click can say so much on Facebook -- sometimes too much.
Many people click "like" on a status or story to follow the ensuing conversation -- but what if the story you're "liking" is about a tragedy? Is clicking "like" appropriate?
That's why Facebook is considering a new option: the "Sympathize" button. This is how it would work:
When you write a status, you have the option of choosing to share an emotion. If that's a negative emotion, the "like" button would be relabeled "sympathize."
Now don't go searching for this option just yet. While it's been well received, it's not making its way to the social networking site just yet.
