A White House treat takes shape

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CNN) - The White House has never looked so sweet. A time lapse video shows White house chefs building a gingerbread replica of the President's Pad.

The just released, behind the scenes video condenses the several week project into under two minutes, set to festive holiday music.

White House pastry chef Bill Yosses and his team didn't miss a single detail on the miniature mansion, including presidential seals. Dark chocolate versions of the Obama family dogs, sunny and Bo and a functioning North Lawn water fountain.

The decorative treat is on display in the State Dining Room. It sits on top of a gingerbread fireplace created out of twelve hundred springerle cookies.
