LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Seven Counties Services is asking for the public's help to buy a new van.
The mental health center launched a fundraiser called "Coffee for a Cause," which will help raise money to purchase a handicap accessible van to transport their adult developmentally disabled friends to events around town.
Seven Counties has found a private seller that will sell them a van for just $15,000.
"It's interaction. They're human beings just like you and I and they want to go out and talk to people and they want to interact and we want you to interact with them so you can see how special they are," said Gwen Cooper, vice president of external affairs for Seven Counties.
The non-profit supports more than 32,000 people each year, and is the largest provider of behavioral health services in Metro Louisville.
