LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Flu season has arrived, and health officials say the number of cases in Louisville has increased significantly.
Dave Langdon, spokesman for the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness, says Kentucky is reporting "regional" flu activity, the second highest category.
In Louisville alone, officials say there have been 274 positive rapid flu tests and three laboratory-confirmed cases as of Thursday, with a significant increase in the past three weeks.
