"All clear" issued at Bloom Elementary after bomb threat

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An "all clear" has been issued at Bloom Elementary School in the Highlands neighborhood, after the school received a bomb threat Friday morning, according to a Jefferson County Public Schools spokeswoman.

No explosives were found.

Police were on the scene and briefly issued a "shelter in place" warning, telling everyone to stay indoors while they searched. No one was allowed to enter or leave the building during that time, the spokeswoman said.

Students who were on their way to school were re-routed to other locations while the search took place.

After nothing was found, the "shelter in place" order was lifted.
