LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Mayor Greg Fischer welcomed Louisville Metro Council members and state lawmakers to his house today for an annual holiday brunch.

Fischer bid farewell to retiring council members Tina Ward-Pugh and Jerry Miller, but today's event was all about celebrating the holidays.

I'm not going to talk about anything political as much as we all want to, but we do have some transformative programs for both the city and the commonwealth.

The special guest for the event was the Voices of Mexico children's choir.

The children, who are all from Kentucky, have performed carols this holiday season to raise money for a playground in Mexico.

Mayor Fischer says they have already reached their goal.
