LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Santa flew into Bowman Field to bring some early Christmas presents to children with Down Syndrome.
Before Santa arrived in his red plane, the kids played holiday games and parents said it was a valuable holiday experience for them as well.
"The families that have children with Down Syndrome can all get together and talk about things that are hard," says parent Karen Touro, "and during the holidays and it's a time for celebration and we all get to see Santa and be joyous together."
Down Syndrome of Louisville hosted the Christmas party, which is part of its effort to serve children with the disorder in Kentucky and Indiana.
