LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Volunteers from across the city wrapped more than a thousand gifts for the Boys and Girls Club on Sunday.
The Optimist Club, Toys for Tots and private donors partnered with the Boys and Girls Club to make the event possible.
Sunday's volunteers included groups from Sullivan University and UPS.
Organizers say the turnout is welcome, but they also are asking volunteers to pitch in year-round.
"We need volunteers all throughout the year" says President of the Boys and Girls club of Kentuckiana Jennifer Helgeson. "The holiday time is so busy and we also want to say thank you for making time to come out today to help us," says Helgeson, "but volunteers are always needed."
The Boys and Girls Club President says they need help maintaining facilities and sponsoring kids.
