Kroger Chef Paul Dowell shares his Christmas bread pudding recipe
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The holidays mean indulging in seasonal treats.
And Kroger chef Paul Dowell blends all the flavors of the holidays in his Christmas Bread Pudding.
With egg nog, bourbon and cranberry sauce, you'll find yourself going back for more!
Christmas Bread Pudding
Makes 10-12 servings.
4 cups Kroger Eggnog
½ cup Bourbon (optional)
4 lrg. Eggs
½ cup Sugar
1 tsp.Ground Cinnamon
¼ tsp.Ground Nutmeg
1 loaf Kroger Bakery Italian Bread (torn in large pieces)
1-16 oz. pkg.Kroger Deli Cranberry Celebration
Preheat oven to 350° & lightly spray a 9"X13" baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine eggnog, bourbon, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, & nutmeg. Mix well to blend.
Pour your torn bread & toss gently everything well.
Pour mixture into prepared baking dish & sprinkle the Cranberry Celebration over the top.
Bake until piping hot & lightly browned (40 to 45 minutes).
Serve hot out of the oven for your next holiday get together.
