LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It was a marriage proposal to remember at the Justin Timberlake concert Sunday night.
In front of thousands of people and on-stage, Joshua Clemons proposed to Kim Martin at the JT concert at the KFC Yum! Center. She, of course, said "Yes."
Clemons says, "When I heard Justin was coming in June when it was announced I immediately started trying to get tickets. I'm a huge fan, I have been. I knew Kim was a big fan."
It wasn't easy to pull this off. After almost 100 emails and phone calls, Clemons finally got in touch with Justin's manager to make his proposal to remember happen.
Clemons says, "Friday we finally caught each other on the phone and said Justin had a big plan and wanted to know if I was ready to do it big and I said definitely."
The video of the proposal has now been shared all over social media. The couple is hearing from friends they haven't seen in years. It's all surreal for Martin.
Martin says, "I was just like there is no way, no way this is happening right now and I got up there and it was and I was in total shock. I couldn't do anything, but just stand there and oh my goodness."
Martin is now proudly showing off her new sparkly ring. Clemons' daughter Mia was also at the concert. They got autographs from JT and got to meet him backstage and say he's really down to earth.
Martin says, "He was just very involved in this. I was very surprised he took initiative to help him so much and the way he talked with us, the way he talked with Mia."
Clemons has this message for people, "Anything is possible. You never know until you try."
With all the excitement from the proposal and Christmas coming up, the couple says they will wait until January to start discussing their wedding plans.
