11-month-old remains hospitalized after I-64 crash

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Support continues to grow for the family involved in a terrible crash on  I-64 east in Harrison County, Ind.

Family friends tell us 11-month-old Brylnee Summers remains in pediatric intensive care at Kosair Children's Hospital, suffering from a severe spinal cord and neck injury.

She was involved in the same crash that killed her 2-year-old sister, Marissa, on I-64 east near Corydon. Her mother and grandmother survived.

Family friends say area police, fire, and EMS crews are planning a fill-the-boot campaign this weekend in downtown Corydon.

All proceeds will help the family pay for funeral and medical expenses.

A donation account has also been set up at First Harrison Bank.
