LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Firefighters credit a working smoke alarm for warning a family of four about an early morning house Fire Tuesday.
The fire was called in just after 4:30 a.m. Two adults, two children and two dogs escaped the burning home on Boaires Lane in Hikes Point unharmed when the alarm sounded.
Two adults, two children and two dogs escaped the home when they heard the alarm.
Firefighters say a space heater could be to blame, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
