Keith Kaiser goes inside UPS Worldport as it begins its busiest week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Keith Kaiser goes inside Worldport as UPS gears up for its peak shipping season.

Millions of packages are expected to be sorted and shipped in the next week to arrive on time for Christmas.

UPS Peak Season is in full swing, and today kicks off the final week of getting holiday packages to their final destination.
UPS will deliver more than half a billion packages around the world this holiday season, an all-time record for the global logistics giant.
The World's Largest Delivery Company expects to deliver more than 132 million packages over the next week, and employees at Worldport in Louisville will sort more than 3 million packages per day in the week leading up to the Christmas holiday.

UPS Peak Season 2013 at a Glance

26 shopping days and 17 shipping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the shortest holiday shopping season on record
2002 was the last time this happened
