LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- New reports have been released from the Kentucky auditor outlining the threats of online data breaches.
Auditor Adam Edelen expressed concern for the need of a breach notification law. Edelen says Kentucky is the one of four states that doesn't require the government to notify people if sensitive data is compromised.
State and local governments collect and store large amounts of private data. Edelen plans to work with state lawmakers to get the bill passed next year.
