LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A six-year-old boy from Adair County donated hundreds of gifts to sick kids in Louisville today.

Tristan Thomas, from Columbia, Kentucky, delivered 300 teddy bears to Kosair Children's Hospital.

His mother says Tristan came up with the idea during dinner a couple of weeks ago.

She says her son knew of Kosair from the time he and a family member spent in the hospital.

After sharing the idea with friends, community members and family helped Tristan exceed his goal.

"He loves to give," Tristan's mom Lisa Thomas says "he has a very big heart, he just came up with the idea and I said something to a friend, and the friend said if god's in it he can do this."

After stopping by the children's hospital, Tristan also dropped off another hundred teddy bears at the Jefferson Street homeless shelter.
