LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Something to think about before I reveal my weekly ballot in the Associated Press college basketball Top 25 poll:

On Saturday in Austin, Michigan State beat Texas, 92-78.

Last Wednesday in Chapel Hill, Texas beat North Carolina, 86-83.

On Dec. 4, in East Lansing, North Carolina beat Michigan State, 79-65.

 What does it all mean?

 I'm not certain. I wish I could tell you. I can't.

But I can tell you a few other things: It isn't easy finding a reasonable way to rank these teams every week. It does not appear that a dominant team has emerged in college basketball this season. I'm always looking for candidates for the final few spots on my ballot.

And, as usual, you can find reason to disagree with my Top 25. I'm certain that you will. Now is the time. Here goes:

1. Syracuse

2. Arizona

3. Wisconsin

4. Ohio State

5. Duke

6. Louisville

7. Michigan State

8. Baylor

9. Oklahoma State
