UPDATE: Missing service dog found

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- Yoshi the service dog has been found. Right after we showed Yoshi's story in our 4 p.m. newscast, a woman named Chris contacted the dog's owner.

She said Yoshi has spent the past 24 hours at Lakeview apartments off Gardiner Lane. Neighbors have been looking after the dog and Chris says Yoshi didn't spend the night out in the cold.

Chris refused the reward being offered.

Yoshi is a Paws with Purpose therapy dog who went missing Monday night after a gate had been left open. He was last seen on Bunker Hill Drive near Atherton High School in the Upper Highlands.

His service and training makes him invaluable to his owner and her therapy clients.

Yoshi is a white lab and is about 80 pounds. He was not wearing his collar, but is chipped and registered with Paws with Purpose. If you spot him, contact Michelle Stillwagon at 502-689-0804.
