LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A pregnant mother was allegedly drunk when she was involved in a traffic accident that sent five people -- including the suspect's children -- to the hospital.
According to an arrest report, it happened on Dec. 26 around 2:30 p.m. in the 11900 block of Standiford Plaza Drive near north Preston Highway. That's where police say 27-year-old Tiffany A. Banules caused the crash when she crossed the center line and veered into oncoming traffic.
Banules had her two children (ages unknown) with her at the time of the crash. According to the arrest report, Banules was very unsteady on her feet, had slurred speech and smelled strongly of alcohol.
Police say Banules admitted she had drank a "bottle and a half of wine." According to the arrest report, she told officers she was six months pregnant and unable to perform field sobriety tests.
There is no word on the condition of the victims who were taken to the hospital.
Banules faces one count of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
