Shively Police investigating after man was shot in the chest

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shively Police are looking for the gunman in an early morning shooting off Crums Lane.

Officers were called to the basement of an apartment building in the 3500 block of Park Row Drive about 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday. 

Shively Police Detective Josh Myer tells WDRB when they arrived they found a man in his 20s shot in the chest. He was conscious and breathing, when an ambulance took him to University Hospital. He was last reported in surgery at and is expected to survive.

A preliminary investigation shows robbery was the likely motive.  Police are looking for black male in his 20s dressed in all black. There is no indication on whether the two men knew each other.
