LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana, Tennessee and Nevada join a growing list of states that will require Amazon to include state sales tax on any purchases you make.
The online giant already collects tax on purchases in 16 states, and that's expected to grow to 20 by 2016.
The change means more money for the individual states.
And local competitors hope it will drive more business for them.
Amazon has fought what it calls a patchwork of state-level taxes, but supports Congressional efforts to create nationwide online sales tax rules.
