LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they have arrested a Louisville man after he was caught with a juvenile woman he claimed was a prostitute.
According to an arrest report, it happened on I-65 south at Warnock Street shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2.
That's when police say John Gutterman was involved in a non-injury accident. When police arrived, he allegedly tried to flee, but couldn't, due to his "level of intoxication." Both he and a 17-year-old female passenger smelled strongly of alcohol, and had urinated on themselves, according to police.
Police say Gutterman spontaneously told the officer that the female was a prostitute, and they had just left a hotel after partying all night. He also allegedly admitted that he had been drinking and that he "didn't have enough."
Police say Gutterman "showed extreme indifference" to the passenger's safety "by driving in his present state."
He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, engaging in an unlawful transaction with a minor and wanton endangerment.
