LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - In a matter of months, Kentucky Kingdom will reopen and today a job fair was held to find more than 1-thousand seasonal employees.
The new Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay will open to the public on May 24.
Lots of new attractions are going to be added to the park, including nine in the amusement park, and eight in the water park
Organizers of Saturday's event say that in the past, a lot of their employees have been younger.
But they are urging people of all ages to apply for jobs, including adults and retirees.
"I am just delighted with the turnout we have had, and I think it speaks volumes to what is going on in the economy right now in Louisville;" Human resources manager Eryn Walker says "These jobs are very much needed and I think people are just excited about the park. And I think they see what a great atmosphere we have here and they want to be a part of a great team."
If you couldn't make it to the job fair today, don't worry. You can submit your application online too.
