LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than 40,000 Indiana residents had to battle bitter cold and snow without power overnight.
Officials say most of the outages were in Indianapolis.
Utility companies say heavy snow and strong winds caused tree limbs to come crashing down on power lines in some areas there.
Crews were working as fast as they could to make the repairs, and the number of customers without power had dropped to about 5,500 by midday.
