LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - With the Louisville area experiencing severe weather conditions, the Kentucky Humane Society’s pet resorts are offering free boarding for outside dogs through January 9.
“No dog should be outside in these extreme weather conditions,” says Justine Saudan, KHS Community Programs Director. “Dogs need to be brought inside, as the plunging temperatures and wind chill can be deadly.”
For pet owners who cannot bring their pets inside, the KHS Eastpoint Pet Resort and Fern Creek Pet Resort are offering free room and board Jan. 6 through Jan. 9.
Pets must have current bordetella and rabies vaccinations. Space is limited and owners need to call to reserve their pets’ stay at 502-499-1910.
The KHS pet resorts provide boarding, all-breed grooming, and Doggie Daycare for owned pets, and proceeds benefit KHS’ shelter mission. Learn more about the KHS Eastpoint and Fern Creek Pet Resorts at www.khspetresorts.com.
